SEIU Local 721 President Bob Schoonover announced the endorsement,

“SEIU 721 is proud to endorse Cindy Allen for Long Beach City Council 2nd District. Cindy is committed to standing up for working families by supporting a living wage, union rights, and health care for all. Cindy will be a strong advocate on City Council and we encourage our members to vote for her on November 3rd.”

In response, Allen said,

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of SEIU Local 721. COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of workers’ rights, and we must fight to ensure our workers are paid a living wage, have good healthcare, and are able to provide for their families. I look forward to continuing to work with SEIU to stand up for working families in Long Beach. If I am elected to the City Council, I will always support the hardworking men and women of Long Beach.”
