Our campaign is very pleased to announce we just received the endorsement of our beloved former Mayor Beverly O’Neill. Her support is in addition to the endorsements of Mayor Robert Garcia and former Mayor Bob Foster. Ms. O’Neill served as Mayor from 1994-2006 and has received numerous awards for her public service and humanitarian work throughout her career.

Former Mayor O’Neill released the following statement about the endorsement:

“I am happy to endorse Cindy Allen for the 2nd District. I know she will work tirelessly to serve the 2nd District and the entire City.” 

Allen also commented on the endorsement:

“I am truly honored to receive the support of our much loved former Mayor Beverly O’Neill. I have always looked up to her and enjoy knowing we both loved being Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits and Long Beach City College Vikings, and graduating from Long Beach State. As our only three-term elected Mayor and having served as the President of the prestigious National Conference of Mayors, she is a role model for all women and a great example of a public servant.”
