Today, in yet another reflection of her widespread appeal, long-time community leader and Long Beach City Council 2nd District candidate Cindy Allen garnered the endorsement of sitting 2nd District Councilmember Jeannine Pearce.

Councilmember Pearce made the following statement when announcing her endorsement:

“Over the course of her campaign, I have gotten to know Cindy well and I have learned how big her heart is. I have no doubt that she will address our many issues with an open heart and an open mind. She will treat everyone with respect and empathy. In these difficult times, those characteristics are of utmost importance. I also know that she will fight for affordable housing, police reform, and a cleaner environment. That is why I am happy to endorse Cindy Allen as the next councilwoman for Long Beach's 2nd District.”

Allen also commented on the endorsement:

“I am honored to have the support of our Councilmember Jeannine Pearce. She has been a champion in our city on sustainability, worker’s rights, protections for renters, and civil rights. I look forward to working with her to ensure racial justice and equity across the city.”
