Illustrating her widespread support from voters across Long Beach, today, long-time community leader and Long Beach City Council 2nd District candidate Cindy Allen garnered the endorsement of the Democratic Women’s Study Club of Long Beach (DWSC). The DWSC is the oldest continually chartered Democratic Club in the Western United States. Allen earned the endorsement with nearly 75% of voting members supporting her bid for City Council.
“With Cindy, the city of Long Beach gets stronger. Not only does she bring experienced leadership, Cindy has a strong understanding of the issues we face as a city and is completely committed to this club’s progressive ideals. She believes in the right to affordable healthcare, a woman’s right to choose, the need for organized labor, and the need to protect our environment. She understands many of our systems are in need of reform and is motivated to find solutions that promote equity and address the social justice issues we see today. The Democratic Women’s Study Club of Long Beach is proud to support Cindy Allen for City Council. We look forward to partnering with her.”

"After discussing my platform and priorities, I am honored to have earned the endorsement of the DWSC. I am proud to be supported by many of our local Long Beach Democratic clubs as well as the LA County Democratic Party. I stand for racial equality, social justice, environmental protections, affordable housing, and a strong COVID-19 recovery program. I am committed to advancing these positions in the City Council and making our city a better place to live for all residents. Thank you for your support!"
